Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain Tour Itinerary
Cusco - Cusipata - Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain - Return
Your Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain tour begins early in the morning. We'll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 4:30 a.m. From here, you'll enjoy a panoramic tour of the southern Andes. Our first stop will be the village of Cusipata at 7:00am approx, where we'll enjoy our ideal breakfast to begin the hike and continue onward.
Upon arrival, we'll begin our hike up Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain, where we'll see the three mountains. At first, the trail will be a very easy and gradual walk lasting approximately 50 to 60 minutes, leading to the Palccoyo viewpoint. Along the way, we'll encounter locals, herds of alpacas, and impressive Andean views. From the very first moment, you'll see the magic of this tour.
At the summit, witness the incredible three colorful Palccoyo Rainbow Mountains, a wider view of the landscape, and the majestic Ausangate Glacier in the background. This is the time to sit back and enjoy the quieter, less crowded landscape of Vinicunca. Connect with nature and enjoy this moment with lots of photos. Continue to the surreal Rock Forest, an ancient natural wonder of eroded formations, perfect for taking stunning photographs and a glimpse into geological history.
After the hike, relax with a buffet lunch as we return to Cusipata. Experience delicious Peruvian dishes with options for all tastes. Local cuisine and fresh ingredients are what you deserve.
