Dear Customers: Please read the following information before booking services with Marfes Tours Perú, a legally established company recognized by Peruvian authorities and tourism organizations, operating from its office in Cusco, Peru.
In accordance with the relevant statutory provisions outlined in the Peruvian Tourism Law, its regulations, decrees, and other applicable legislation in Peru, valid for airlines, hotels, restaurants, transportation, guides, and other tourism-related services, in relation to this contract with our company, you understand and agree to be bound by all terms and conditions of use without modification and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. To guarantee your reservation for tickets to the Machu Picchu sanctuary, train tickets, flight tickets, hotel accommodations, and other services provided by Marfes Tours Perú, the following details are required:
Full name / Passport or ID number / Nationality / Age / Gender / Student or Adult / Occupation.
Payments: To secure reservations for hotels, flights, bus or train tickets, guides, camping equipment, trekking, etc., and to cover our administrative costs, a 30% deposit is required as the first payment. The final balance must be paid in dollars or soles at our office. We recommend paying in cash. We accept card payments with an additional 8% fee, which is the bank charge.
Prices: Prices are listed in US dollars and Soles. When making the final payment in cash in US dollars or Soles, very old or damaged bills will not be accepted. Banks in Peru do not accept damaged bills for security reasons. We recommend that you do not accept bills in such conditions to avoid issues during transactions.
Individuals with medical conditions or disabilities that may affect the service must disclose this information before traveling to avoid any inconvenience. Our company provides travelers with an oxygen bottle and a medical kit to prevent altitude sickness. However, each person is responsible for their own personal safety and must have adequate travel insurance. If a client interferes with the well-being of the service or group, the guide may order the client to leave the group without any liability limited to the price paid for the contracted service.
Student Discounts: If you are claiming a student discount, you must send us a scanned copy of your university ID for validation.
Child Discounts: Children receive a discount. To avail of this, you must send us a scanned copy of their passport or ID.
Modifications to Your Reservation: Any modifications to the original reservation must be confirmed in writing via email or WhatsApp in advance. Any costs or fees charged by our service providers as a result of the modification will be billed to the client. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate changes and additional requests, but availability is not guaranteed.
Cancellation Policies:
In case of cancellation, you must inform us in writing. Cancellation fees will be applied as shown below, calculated from the day we receive the written modification. In addition to the fees shown below, airlines may impose a 100% cancellation fee, as may hotels. This means no refund will be issued.
If a client cancels their reservation but the rest of the group continues with the service: No cash refund will be provided. However, we will provide the tickets purchased at the time of reservation, such as the Machu Picchu entrance ticket, train tickets, bus tickets from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes, and similar tickets. These tickets must be used on the requested date (non-refundable and non-transferable).
Last-minute cancellations of the contracted service are non-refundable, as everything has already been purchased and organized.
Force Majeure: Marfes Tours Perú is not responsible for force majeure events such as: threats of war, riots, industrial disputes, terrorist activities, natural disasters, strikes, fires, adverse weather conditions, technical or maintenance issues with transportation, and other similar events.
Passports, IDs, Visas, and Vaccines: It is the client’s responsibility to possess valid documents, visa permits, proof of vaccines, and preventive medications that may be required during the service. Anyone suffering from an illness or disability or undergoing treatment for any physical or medical condition must declare the true nature of such condition at the time of booking. Failure to disclose this information constitutes a breach of these booking conditions and will result in the exclusion of such individuals from the service, in which case all money paid will be forfeited.
Insurance: We strongly recommend the use of a travel medical insurance plan. We do not provide or include travel or accident insurance in our costs. In the event of an accident and/or necessary emergency evacuation, all costs are borne by the individual client. Our company is not responsible for injuries, illnesses, damages, losses, additional expenses, accidental delays, or other irregularities caused by intentional or negligent acts or omissions by companies or individuals providing or engaged in transportation, accommodation, or other services related to the execution of our services.
If the client has a complaint about the service provided, they must inform the guide or a representative of our company so that they can strive to rectify the situation. We can only address issues if we are aware of them. Any other complaints must be submitted to the manager at our office in Cusco. Failure to file a complaint immediately will impair the passengers’ right to claim.
