FAQs Machu Picchu 3 day tour
Do I need a tourist ticket to take the Sacred Valley tour?
Yes, you will need a Cusco tourist ticket to visit the main attractions of the Sacred Valley. You can buy it for 70 PEN at the first archaeological site you visit. If you have a complete ticket for 130 PEN, you can also use it to visit the attractions of Cusco.
Do I need to be in good physical condition for this tour?
You’ll walk and climb steep stairs. However, this tour is very easy and comfortable to allow you to acclimatize. If you’re already prepared, you can later take a hike like Humantay Lake, Rainbow Mountain, or a multi-day trek like the Salkantay Trek. These types of tours are perfect for acclimatizing due to the short distance.
How will we travel from Cusco to Machu Picchu?
This tour includes a connection to Aguas Calientes. This means that at the end of the Sacred Valley tour, we will go to the town of Aguas Calientes, which is Machu Picchu Village. This is where you can spend the night and then visit the Wonder of the World the next day in complete peace. It’s one of the best options, and you’ll also travel on a tourist train from Ollantaytambo.
What type of hotel will be included in the Machu Picchu 3 days 2 nights package?
The most basic package we offer is a 3-star S hotel, which is a superior category. If you’d like to change your hotel type, add lunch, or upgrade your train to something more luxurious, you can contact one of our specialists. If you prefer the basic package, we recommend booking online; we’ll take care of the rest.
How can I do Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain?
These optional hikes to Machu Picchu are subject to availability. We recommend that you book and contact one of our experts in advance so they can schedule the tour that will allow you to experience this magical experience. There is an additional entrance fee of approximately $60 USD.

- Vistadome Train
- Vistadome Observatory Train
Accomodation
The basic tour reservation will be at a 3-star or 3-star S hotel in Aguas Calientes. Upgrades are available if you prefer more expensive accommodations. This is also subject to availability. Please consult with an advisor for additional costs depending on the hotel.
Circuits to Machu Picchu
To be the best for our guests, we initially booked tickets for Circuit 2, the best option for classic photos. However, tickets are subject to availability because they sell out quickly, especially during peak season. Otherwise, we could offer Circuit 1, which will give you a more panoramic view of Machu Picchu. Finally, we offer Circuit 3, which visits the entire citadel without the option of classic or panoramic photos.
Politics In Machu Picchu
Drones and backpacks larger than 20 liters are not allowed, so you will be required to leave your luggage. We recommend leaving your bags in Cusco. We can also store them at Marfes if you wish. We also recommend not bringing trash and being very respectful of the tour and the archaeological sites.
