Itinerary
Full Day Uros & Taquile
We will begin by picking you up from your accommodation or the agreed meeting point between 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM (exact time will be coordinated in advance). Then, we will head to the Puno lake port, where we will board a motorboat to start our journey toward the floating Uros Islands. During our guided tour, you will learn more about these unique islands and their people.
The Uros people are considered one of the oldest communities in the region. Their islands are made entirely of totora reeds, which they use to build their homes, boats, and even as a source of food. The tour includes a visit to 2 or 3 islands, with plenty of time at each stop. You will also have the option to take a totora reed boat ride (optional).
Next, we will continue our journey to Taquile Island. Upon arrival, we will embark on a 40 to 50-minute hike to reach the main village. Here, you will have three hours to explore the island, enjoy its stunning landscapes, and learn about the rich textile traditions of its inhabitants. We will also have a traditional lunch, featuring locally prepared dishes such as trout and quinoa.
Finally, we will board our boat and return to Puno, arriving between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM. The tour will conclude at Plaza de Armas or another agreed drop-off point.
