The Arequipa and Colca Canyon tour is an unforgettable experience that takes travelers through some of the most stunning landscapes in the Peruvian Andes. The tour begins in Arequipa, passing through stunning high-altitude terrain before reaching the Colca Valley, where visitors can admire volcanoes, vicuñas, and the beautiful Andean landscape. One of the highlights is the Cruz del Cóndor, a famous viewing point where travelers can witness the impressive flight of condors, one of the largest flying birds in the world. Along the tour, travelers will also visit traditional Andean villages, ancient pre-Incan tombs, and natural hot springs. This tour is ideal for lovers of nature, culture, and stunning landscapes.

Itinerary

Early in the morning we will leave for the Colca Valley located in the Province of Caylloma at 3,600 m.a.s.l. On the route we will pass through the district of Yura, Pampa Cañahua, a place where you can see the vicuñas, we will pass by what was the crater of the Chucura volcano. Likewise, we will arrive at Patapampa, the highest point (4,800 m.a.s.l.) from where you will see the largest number of volcanoes that exist in the department of Arequipa. We will arrive at the town of Chivay and check into the hotel. Then we will have time to have lunch.
At the appropriate time we will visit the thermal baths of La Calera (optional).

We will leave immediately to visit the Cruz del Cóndor, a place with an impressive view of the valley and from where we will be able to appreciate the flight of the condors and the depth of the canyon (3,400 meters deep). On the way back we will be able to visit the town of Pinchollo, the Pre-Inca Hanging Tombs, Litomaquetas, the town of Maca, the town of Yanque and Chivay.
Return to Arequipa.
